After doing several trips to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia, we have decided to do a trip covering the continent of Africa north to south.  Based in Cape Town, South Africa, we are planning to ship our vehicles to Alexandria, Egypt, and then drive all the way back home over a two month period following the East African route.  The original trip was planned for the beginning of December 2009 until the end of January 2010.  However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the trip had to be cancelled at the last minute.  We hope to still do such a trip in the near future and therefore we keep some of the information here for those who are interested.  Click on the links below:      Budget       Planned Route       Preparation
